TOPIC: Where do the snaps go?

I was lucky enough to find side curtains for my Evinrude Playmate. Strange thing is, even on the parts boat they came from, there are only 2 snaps on the windshield. It seems they were never used on the parts boat. My boat never had the clear plastic enclosure curtains. I'm going to have to make one for the back.

Does anyone with one of the OMC 14' boats know for sure where the 3rd snap near the bottom of the windshield would have be placed? All the rest are pretty obvious. This one looks like it may have been on the bottom windshield frame in the corner, or they may have drilled the hinge bracket. Since the plastic window changes shape easily over time. I can't tell the correct location of that snap.

Any mid 1960s Johnson Capri, Evinrude Ski Lark, or Playmate should have the same top.

With most canvas there is no "correct" location
it is wherever the canvas maker wants to put them
if the boat had canvas the maker will align the buttons with the snaps on the boat
if the canvas has snaps and the boat doesn't....IF THE CANVAS IS IN GREAT SHAPE...drill the boat to fit the canvas.

Yes, the side curtains are in absolutely perfect condition. Looks like they were rolled up and stuck in the storage area at the factory and never touched by the owner in forty-some years. However, something just doesn't fit at the front bottom corner of the side curtain. A good many of the snap locations are obvious. In fact all but 2. I wouldn't care except that the place where the snap would go just seems crazy. It would be right in the hinge of the windshield. If I put it on the lower frame, I have to stretch the window more than I think I should. If I put it down on the side, there is a big hump of slack in the window. That's why I want info from someone who has one factory drilled for the side curtains.
