TOPIC: Back in business...

It's taken some time but I picked up a 1990 120hp Evinrude VRO. Search "Doomed" to see earlier posts and a picture. It's only a 20" shaft so will work much better on my boat. My 150 Ficht was too long at 25" and slowing me down to only 55 mph. I think I paid top dollar at $1,550 with controls and it needing a lower unit seal kit and impeller. My mechanic thinks I can do 60 mph+ with this one.

Glad to hear you're back in business Phil, that should make you a nice motor for sure. Are you going to leave the VRO active, or mix your own blend? Maybe a better post for the JEGO forum, but I know there are mixed opinions on that subject!

My mechanic believes in the system. He told me to mix at first as well as having it hooked up and check that the level in the tank goes down in the tank.
