TOPIC: $$$ per Gallon!!!

I always fill cans at the gas station and then put them in the boat. We always did it that way except for the couple of summers we had a fuel barrel down by the boat house. I was at The Wharf, on Rush Lake in Central Minnesota where gas is sold on the water. Just out of curiosity, I went over to the pump to see what these big twin engine cuddy-yacht-abouts were paying for petrol. A whopping $4.97 a gallon!!! At the land based station we were filling for $3.39 including road taxes!!

So what is the price of "marine gas" where you are. (tell where)

$4.95 at the dock here in Central Idaho. Dworshak Reservoir

Last week it was around $4.29 at the marina.I always get mine on the way down to the lake at the marathon station. They have non-ethanol plus for $3.49. Central N.C.

$4.10 at Port of Poulsbo, WA last week. I need about 160 gallons to fill my big boat... UHG... been putting it off.

On the Mississippi around LaCrosse, Wi it averages about $4.60 on the water. I fuel up at the local Kwik Trip and pay $3.85 for premium with no alcohol.

In NJ on the Navasink/Shrewsbury, it was $4 a few weeks ago, vs. $3.25 on land. There are three stations there right in a row though. Competition is good.

You are lucky to have competition. LaCrosse County has about 100,000 people, and about 95% of the stations are Kwik Trips. So much for competition!!!

In Washington, we are refunded more than 30 cents per gallon of fuel used for marine use... the drag is that you have to claim it by filing your receipts to the state.
