TOPIC: going to look at a rocket

found a shell lake rocket, owner says it is a 1958, has a 75 johnson on and he can not remember if it is a 14 or 16 ft. has a trailer, and has been in a shed for 15 years. anything i need too look out for , besids the transom and floor. he said it has fins but not big ones. i,ll let you know what i find. frog

well the rocket was buried in a shed, the transom was made into a long shaft and was shot, the floor is rotted, and has 2 holes in the deck were the windshield pushed thru when the roof fell on it. the owner still thinks it is worth alot. he would not give me a price, just a so so trailer under it. i do not need that much work so iam going to pass. then i found a carlson tunnel hull, talked to the guy on the phone, and it needs transom, floor and maybe seats. he started to pull the deck off and gave up. i did not go and look at it as it is 50 miles away. the pic i seen looks like a nice boat and the price is good also if you wanted to do the work. with a trailer 250.00. now i found a 14 ft power cat. just waiting for the owner to give me a price. frog
