A lot of attention going on here. Bidders are registered from over 27 countries. The first session of items has over 40,000 hits on it. Over 10.000 online bids and the auction has not even started. Everything is at the convention center and is now being placed for show. The photo's I took are all out of focus so I will post some tomorrow.

Not the norm, but the deal of the day, was a 1970 Larson All American, 100 HP Johnson, and a ShoreLandr trailer for......wait for it......Twenty five bucks!!!! Strangely, I think they could have hauled it to water and gone boating!

I did buy back my childhood family boat for $550! Yay. Now the work begins.

I thought that over all prices where strong today. Mostly unrestored motors, gas cans and advertising. Good stuff tomorrow!!!

From what sources close to Paul, things went for less than he expected by about half. Considering many items were purchased in the good times and the sale was during an economic down turn, it does stand to make sense. Anyway, I wish him well. It was good to see all the "boat people" including his daughter Laura who I haven't seen in 25 years.

On a personal note: There were 2, 1941, 13' outboard Falls Flyers sold at the auction. These two boats, and one I own, are numbered consecutively. I'd like to get hold of the owners and see if we can get all three Flyers with consecutive build numbers to a show sometime.
