What is it? 12 years 4 months ago #61006

If anyone knows who made this little boat - please give a shout out. Also would like to know the year/model.

Thanks

got any shots of the interior? the lines look DANGED close to my sea king. this one looks like maybe a year or two newer, if it is.

the red one, second from the top is what i was thinking. the only difference i see would be the dip in the middle of the bow on the sea kings. perhaps whoever was making the boats for sea king in 1964 made yours.

EDIT: on second look, it may be a 1965

one of the top two look close

Quite close to a 1964 SEA KING or Montomery Ward. The little wave in the side Lapstrake pattern is a clue.

. The LIBRARY link here www.fiberglassics.com/library/Sea_King shows the curved side pattern 64 or 65 , Builders were Speed Queen , Scan America, etc.
That era were common with West Bend motors.

I figured that would be the thing that would tip someone off.

The deck looks just like my '62 Elgin (Cutter?). Down to the raised center on bow and the flat 'fins' on the stern. But my hull is smooth. In the second pic there is a name visible on the port side. My guess would be a '62 Elgin or Cutter.

i think your right,it looks like a early to mid 60's seaking,i know that starcraft made them with that laptrake pattern, for montgomery wards, there are 1963 and 64 montgomery wards catalog pages that i had that got put into the libray, under seaking.

I don't think its a Starcraft. Hers a pic of my 63 Starcraft ranger.
But I sure love the lines on that one.

i was just saying seaking was made by starcraft for a little while, and your seaking is probably one of them because of the drop down lapstrake design, john

Sorry John, I didn't read your post well enough.

I didn't know that Starcraft and Seaking wear in bed together at one time. I still love the lapstrake look.

lol,little fin,no apologies necessary.
i had a 1964 seaking cabin cruiser that had that same lapstrake design,it took alot of digging ,then someone here showed me the starcraft cabin cruiser of the same year,i "THINK" it was named a starcraft "special" ,cap'n fishguts ,on a different website had one of them.
you have a cool little runabout there.john
