Just bought a '68 13'3" Brendell. Looked on Google and found nothing. Anyone heared of it?

Never saw one or heard of it, but that thing is flat and should fly!!!!

Nope, never heard of it. Have you tried "google news archive"?

Here are two articles, 1970 and 1973, from the Los Angeles Times.

Seems Irv Brendel was based in North Hollywood and built fiberglass drag boat boats. The 1970 article states he was 40 years old and had been building boats for the past 16 years (1954?). May have had a son, Mike, who was 18 in 1973 and a racer. Perhaps you can locate one of them and request more information. If so, please come back and share it with us.

Here's a blurb from the August 1999 issue of Trailer Boats:

"In the early '80s, the West Coast boys got into the skiboat business. Rick Lee of Ski Centurion, Bob Alkema of Malibu, and Mike Brendel of Brendella Boats (today of MB) all added West Coast flair, including colors in the gelcoat. Upholstery went absolutely shagadelic and cosmetic design took a quantum leap forward."

Looks like Mike and Irv Brendel are still in business as MB Boats:
