I wish him all the luck in the world, really, but my clue that he hasn't dove into this type of fun before was the phrase " a 15 minute patch"

Heck Ya. A little soap, and a coat of wax. You'r good to go.

A nice weekend project. How hard could it be to fix up a boat?

i sure do wish i had seen that video before i stripped all the gel coat from the deck of my fleetform. mine was not that bad and if a little buffing and sanding was all i had to do i sure wasted my time.

Nice complete Glassic. I hope he is successful and doesn't get frustrated, and just junk it out half done. I agree the 15 minute patch scares me. I would want to flip it to repair the keel. Which as we all know is a substantial effort.

Ok, 15 min. to fix the keel. I guess this boat will be in the water by tomorrow. If he wants he can come over and do my next project for me. I only half know what I am doing so with him I should be in great shape.

Nice project he has there.. But yea the 15 minute patch and "it will buff out" made me giggle.. I have spent 5 days sanding the keel of my Traveler project boat. It has a few "minor" dings in it, but I wanted the repairs to last and be safe as well as look good. So it was down to raw glass fill in the nicks, reglass, sand, sand some more, and I'm still not happy so its still not done.. lol.. Gel coat is waiting.. till its done just right..

Heck ya, a little Bondo on the keel a rattle can of white paint and a for sale sign over the windshield crack and he might recoup the investment.

Poor guy. He's delusional. And he hasn't even been exposed to all the chemical fumes yet :)

I think he may have a "Leak 'n Sink" there.
