TOPIC: sierra (or other) catalog number cross reference?

trying to find parts for my motor. figured i'd call NAPA and see what they can get for it. they're not of much help without a sierra number to go off of, and i can't seem to find a site that will cross reference the OEM number with a sierra number.

so... does such a site exist? i'm currently trying to find LU seals for my fat fifty, but i'm sure that won't be the only motor i ever need to look something up for. and it wouldn't necessarily need to be bought out of a sierra catalog, either.

btw, i have checked the sierra catalog itself. there aren't any numbers that match the ones in the parts catalog that i am able to find.

I agree. Good site. I have purchased parts for my 1972 Mercruiser 165 from them.

tried that. that's where i got the outdated numbers from. if i go directly to the sierra catalog, the OEM numbers that you can reference don't include any of the numbers i need on any of the parts. that's why i was asking here. guy at NAPA couldn't find any of the numbers i gave him either.
