TOPIC: 3M Premium Filler how cold is to cold?

I know it says not to use the filler until it is 60 degrees out or better. But I really want to get going on the starcraft again.

Will it work okay to use it in 50 degree weather?

I'm no expert Littlefin, but I think you'd better wait until it warms up to *60 unless you have a space heater or heat lamp you can put on the area you're applying it to. The stuff hardens (or "cures") by the heat created by chemical reaction of the filler and the hardner, if I'm not mistaken. If it doesn't harden fully, you're going to have a mess on your hands and wish you had waited.

Just my two cents.....

60 is too cool in my book. 70 is a happier temp. Plastics flow and spread so much nicer at proper temps. Too cool will not promote adhesion, which will lead to bubbles in paint later down the river.

Thanks for the advise guys. I will just have to wait a little longer. Lord knows I don't want to do it twice.
