TOPIC: GLASSIC BOAT SHOWS

HI EVERYONE,
I'M NEW TO THIS SITE BUT HAVE A LONG INTEREST AND APPRECIATION FOR GLASSICS. I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS: 1)I HAVE HAD A HARD TIME FINDING CLASSIC FIBERGLASS BOAT SHOWS IN MY AREA (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA). WE ARE WILLING TO TRAVEL BUT NOT ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
2) ALSO HAVING A SUPER HARD TOME FINDING CLASSIC FIBERGLASS BOAT BOOKS. PLENTY OF RESTO BOOKS OUT THERE BUT NOT ANY NICE BOOKS WITH CLASSIC PICS AND STORIES OF MANUFACTURERS. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Look for the book "Tail Fins and Two Tones" by Peter Hunn. Also the book "Heart of Glass" by Daniel Spurr.

And of course, the Glassic Library right here on this website.

Welcome aboard gdgood, glad to have you join us. I'm having a little "technical difficulty" getting events posted in the FG Calendar right now, but hope to have some loaded up soon. We try to keep as many posted up as possible for all parts of the country, so folks everywhere can find something in their area.

ya i guess that's kind of what i have in mind is a few good books that contain a really good variety of classic fiberglass boats restored and/or in great original condition. kinda like the books we all see about classic cars that have tons of great pics of "muscle car era" vehicles and stuff like that. not so much a "how to restore book", but more like the type you can go though over and over looking at all the beautiful glassic boats that we all appreciate. thanks again.

Lake Arrowhead is having it's annual wooden boat show on June 9th & 10th. There are usually a few Glassics there, and a bunch of vintage woody wagons. The quality of the boats and cars really make it one of my favorite shows each year.

Not a book or a boat show but the Just Awesome Boat Pictures thread here is full of beauties.

Just a reminder the Lake Arrowhead, Ca. boat show is this weekend! I'll be heading up Friday night.
