TOPIC: Fiberglass Sea King

Hello,
I am in need of some information on a small tri-hull fiberglass Sea King. The boat originally belonged to a friend of my parents. The friend recently passed away and the family asked if my folks would help them sell the boat. I've been looking for information on this vessel and cannot seem to find anything specific to this model. Unfortunately, I don't have model or serial numbers at this time but I do have a couple of photos. I've had zero response to past ads and I'm thinking it could be due to a lack of info. It also has an unusual steering mechanism that is controlled by the operator in the forward seat. Speed controls on starboard side, steering "stick" on the port side.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

There's not much in the library here on sea kings, unfortunately. can you post some pictures of the boat and steering? this will go a long ways towards getting you accurate information.

i personally use Picasa, which is free from Google, but there are a few listed on the page i linked that work well too. basically, you're limited in overal width and height as well as file size of the picture. if your pic doesn't meet all 3 restrictions, it won't let you load it.

also, if you want to load more than one pic, you have to load the first and then click the submit button. once the post has gone through, you go back and edit it and add another picture, re-submit, and repeat as necessary.

can't really see the steering mechanism too well in the photo. any way you can snap a couple more, a bit more close up?

I can, but not right away. The rig is about an hour and a half north of me so when I do get a chance, I'll get some good close up pictures and get back to you.

Do I see the 12 character Manufacturer's Idenfication Code (MIC) stamped on the outside of the transom on the starboard side? If yes, that will give you the manufacturer and the month and year it was built.

I have a 1970 Sea King trihull 15 but it's not like yours.

QUESTION for deandobo... can you get a shot of that trolling motor bracket for me? The name of the manufacturer? I can't put a trolling motor on my boat in an easy way and that looks perfect!!!

The name on the bracket is Navi-Gator and it mounts to the lower unit with just four bolts.
I cropped one of the pictures that I have so you can get a better look at it. I need to get back up to my folks place and just bring it back with me. I might decide to just restore it myself.... Don't tell my wife!!!
