Is it hard to find a gas tank, line, and connector for one of these motors?

It's hard to find one of those MOTORS, let alone a factory tank. I know, I've been looking. Try going to the Antique Outboard Motor Club website and place a "wanted" ad in the Webvertise section. It's free to use, and may be your best shot unless you get VERY lucky on Ebay.

Larson Outboard Service is the go-to place for All Things Martin. He owns the original tooling and has many NOS and repro parts.

Here's their website:

www.martinoutboards.com/index.htm

Speaking of Martins, I just happen to have picked this up a few weeks ago (see pic), it's the bottom end of a Martin 200. From what I learned at the web site, the 200 racing motor had a different upper housing (available from Larson's) and a different nose cone (also available).

This midsection has an adapter place to fit an old Merc Twin (like a KG, etc), one of these days I'd like to make a Rat Rod out of it.

I just got lucky and my son-in-law picked up a running, decent Martin 60 In Calif. for $50%%%% I have been looking for a Martin I could afford for a long time. The Icing on the cake is a Running Water Witch ( torpedo tanks ) for $100. I won't be able to go get them for a couple of months, but they are stashed away for me. :)

Well STUPID me. I guess I don't know my Martins very well. I went and bought it today and found out it had a tank on top. I thought the silver streak had a remote tank. Cool motor. Now all I have to do is find a brass prop for it if possible. Thanks for the info.

NOT so stupid you. Separate tank WAS an accessory for the bigger Martins. If yours was a standard motor, and not a racer, you'd soon discover that the top tank isn't going to last long, and pouring gas on the lake when its choppy is no fun.

BTW, what material is the prop that's on it now? Speed props are usually either bronze or stainless. Nice find, BTW. Martin racers are pretty scarce.

You have a Martin 200-S factory racer.Only made for 1-1/2 years (mid 1953, and 1954) and are somewhat rare, just not as popular as the Merc racers. There are some Martin fans, like me, (I have 4) that would consider you a lucky man, indeed.
