It's not often that you see your boat in someone else's Craigslist ad. akroncanton.craigslist.org/boa/2781346773.html

I sent the guy an email looking for pics. See if he gets back or is it a scam. If anyone is in the Akron area, I may ask to do some recon.

Digital camera's are cheap and he has already proven that he knows how to copy and post pictures.
Why not show a shot of the boat that he is advertising?
Although using Tudor's boat is a compliment. Its beautiful. My 2 cents.

LOL.

Right now there is an ad for a boat in Warren, Mich on craigs list. It is a T & T Boats 20' listed as a Thompson (it is NOT a Thompson). It shows two pics of the boat for sale (under a tarp so you cannot see anything). And then there is a photo of one of MY boats and I was the photographer (lower left hand corner)! No one asked permission to use my photo. Also a pic from a company brochure. Pretty funny!

Did you check to make sure YOUR boat is where it is supposed to be??

My guess is he was just trying to post it fast and didnt have a camera handy, so he just grabbed some pics off the net. I just LOVE how everyone thinks that they are free to use whatever they run across on the internet without permission :)

Might be a great find. BTW- I'll give you $2k for your boat, If you are interested :)

If you Google "Custom Craft boats" and go to the images section, the bow on picture appears near the top. If you put your pointer on the image, you get a description "all original barn find". Eerily similar to the title of the ad.

The stern shot is not far below that.

I sent him an e-mail, but I did sign it Todd and in the photo description, it mentioned my name. He may not respond.

I think Dave Albertson's took the pictures.

Plus I relly want to see the dash that looks like a 59 Corvette.

If it is legit, for $2K, I might try to corner the market on 64 Aqua Ray barn finds!

..T.: Ohio is usually TALL TALES territory , He usually handles all
the GLASSPAR hardware for that club.... I think Holly & WALLY , Dayton Ohio should be knowlegable on Custom Crafts.

Photo borrow happens to us in Tenn all the time .. Both on C.L. & FiberGlassics.! We thought you were busy with a Glastron . ?

The only place I posted photos of the Helton I bought was on here. Next thing it is on the internet. I got it removed by changing the Photobucket address

There are people bootlegging photos off of here and most any other place they can
