I need the same thing. There was someone talking about having some produced at one point. Not sure who.

Wow, hey guys me too! I guess that wheel was pretty popular. My decal didn't make it through the cleaning process unfortunately.

If I can get a straight on shot of the wheel or of just the script, I can have a graphics person reproduce it.

This area often had the boat manufacturer name too, so maybe that is a way to go if you have the logo of your boat.
The center of these wheels had an "A" with a shallow V underlining it.I need that center emblem reproduced if someone has a picture of it. Mybe we can get the needed decals, lots of these wheels around.

That's a plastic part with the A and shallow V raised. I'm sure a decal/sticker could be made to simulate that. Nice pic, Thanks Bill.

Todd,
That is the center that used to be on your wheel.

Bill, did it have the red? My thought was to do the background in black and have the A and shallow V in gold. Considering the wheel will be white and black, I thought that would look good.

I was staring at the signature last night and it dawned on me that this is calligraphy. It is could a fairly standard style as nothing looks too outrageous. Anybody out there know calligraphy or a calligrapher? I may know a couple of people and I'm going to try to get in touch with them. The easiest and probably most accurate way would be to have it drawn and then do a high resolution scan.

If we don't come up with it in a few more days, I can 'create' it based on the image that we've already got. I will import it into photoshop, correct it for the angle it's skewed at in the ad, then move it over to Illustrator... It'll take some cleaning up, but should turn out nice.

the center script on my 61 is white with gold letter....my 59s are red and black.....if you know a collage art teacher that would be an excelent exercise for the kids to do....john

Todd,
It did have the red. I know my dad built the boat in '59 and it hit the water the first time in '60. I am sure it came from the '59 catalog.

I have that wheel on my boat but unfortunately, the boat is 800mi away from me now or I could take a close-up photo of the logo for you. I have a 1961 Attwood catalog but it onoly shows the logo at the same angle as your original photo.
