I have the speedometer for my Herters all cleaned up and ready for install. Is there a way to test these to see if they work? Seems like everything moves freely when I actuate the mech from behind.Can I use air pressure in the inlet tube to move the needle and if so how much pressure? Hate to install it if it won't work.

I can't remember the exact equation someone posted here in the past Cal, but I do remember turning the regulator on my compressor down to about 10 psi and getting a reading of around 30-35 mph (?) on an airguide speedo for my Cutter several years back. I know it doesn't take much pressure, you should be able to blow in the tube with your mouth and make the needle move a little! (Maybe 10 mph).
