Got some necessary hardware today to mock up attaching the old jack plate to my older merc. We'll see what happens.

Either there was never such a boat, or the guy I was dealing with is an idiot, or both.

I finally got hold of the guy a week ago Thursday, and he said I could have the boat. I called him every day over the last weekend (including Monday which i had off), and told him I was ready to go get it. Every time I called him, he was too busy. I couldn't figure it out. Here he posted a boat on craigslist he wanted to give away, but he was too busy to meet me?

So I called Tuesday, he's busy. I figure I'll give it a couple days, he has my number, maybe he'll call. So I wait, but never hear from him. I call him Friday morning, he's in Binghamton (NY), and will be back 3:30 or 4, so maybe I could get it Friday night. I never hear from him.

So i text him early Saturday morning, wondering if I could get it maybe that day. He texts me back "Bad news. While I was out yesterday somebody scratched the boat with some pallets." I text him back "No problem, I could fix that." He texts me back "dumpster is gone." I respond wondering whether that is good or bad, but never hear from him again. I try calling a couple times, he doesn't pick up. I text him again to see of the tomahawk is available, nothin.

So I figure maybe this moron got these pics off the web somewhere and posted them on craigslist just for some fun. I mean, how believable is it that a boat was scratched with pallets, so they put the whole boat and trailer in a dumpster?!?

Ya gotta love craigslist eh?
