CHRIS.: WELCOME, CONGRATS.. My early 1st guess/ comment would be towards a DORSETT.. We have a LIBRARY here & a link for the 1960's cuddy mentions a MARK II series.. !! www.fiberglassics.com/library/Dorsett .If the side logo
says another name,, COBIA was similar along with another name of that era.. Any name PLATE / TAG around the rear splashwell area. ?

Yes, I have looked at the Dorsett, though all the "cuddy" models I've found from Dorsett have the distinctive angle from the cuddy aft to the stern. Then again maybe i'm missing a model.

There is no nameplate unfortunately

Later models seem to have lost that line. I also vote dorsett. Mine is a Catalina. probably 65 or so. What length is your boat?

That should be a San Juan. IF it is a Dorsett.

Here's another 1973 Sierra from the forum archives. Mentions it was made from post-1964 Dorsett molds.

Found this similar boat while walking the dog. I couldn't raise anyone at the house it was parked at so didn't crawl around it. Last registered in 2010.

Marlin was another of the companies that used Dorsett molds. Here's a thread with another Marlin:

Dorsett factory burnt down in 1971, Sierra used there molds after that for a few years. 1963 was the last year of the stub nose stile and what you have is the stile that the Catalena had from 1964 on. i have a 1964 Dorsett San juan, 18 ft outboard, same stile. i have had 3 Dorsett Catalina's and a few other Dorsetts. i live 7 miles from whare there factory was. charlie

I just came across this post and when I saw the pic you provided, I remembered that I had seen one of those for sale on ksl's classifieds. I'm kinda glad to know all this info about it now. Having just sold my Catalina (sadly and regrettably), the boat looked vaguely familiar but the lines didn't seem right. Now it all makes sense. Here's the post:
