TOPIC: Name my Glastron
Name my Glastron 12 years 8 months ago #54968
|
I need a name for my 1959 Glastron. Something that reflects the year or period. The best I have come up with so far is Rave On! (Buddy Holly tune - one of his last hits - he died Feb 1959). Have not come up with a prize yet, but I may go down to the local boat consignment shop and see if I can come up with something.

Some good thoughts here. "Sputnick's End" would be an interesting segue since my Aqua Ray is named Telstar. Wala Wala Bing Bang might not fit on the transom. Our Little Piece of Ship? LMFAO.
"Some Like It Hot" was from 1959. The Rat Pack debuted that year. Barbie was introduced, but is not an option for personal reasons. Stagger Lee (Lloyd Price)was that year as well, I believe. The Twilight Zone and Ben Hur were also big. Keep em coming. |

I like the name "Rave On". I sat hear listening to the song and staring at the pic of the boat and it just seem to fit that boat perfectly.Something about the song and the lines of the boat just seem to flow together. Thats just my 2cents worth, Skip.
