For the past few days I have been helping Rich Penn getting ready for what will be the boat auction of the year. Paul has decided to sell at auction his entire collection. Over 600 toy boats, many signs and over 60 vintage boats. The sale will take place in May of this year and have about 1500 lots over three days.

I will keep things updated!!!!!

There will be a complete online catalog showing every item. Every item will have at least one photo of each lot. The auction will be on proxy bid and live auctioneers. The on line catalog should be done by March 26. I will let you guys know when it happens. Yes there will be Falls Flyer parts and lots more....

There are not 60 full size wood boats, more like 30. There are a lot of fiberglass ones. Fiberglass Falls Flyers, Thunderhawks, Playboys, Playmate and All Americans. Last week was the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction. They did very well, sold prices ranged from $3,500 to over 2.5 million. Set many records and 50% of the winning was by 1st time buyers. Looks like things might be coming back. They sold a few older boats.
