Starting to wire the Herters and bought a 5 lug fuse block, Separate fuses for each contact. Anyone know what amp fuse(s) I should use for 1. Horn, 2. Running lights, 3. Four tail lights. I'm running a 10 gauge (red)lead direct from the battery to the common side of the fuse block and a 10 gauge (black)lead from the battery ground to another conector block, all under the dash.

I'm guessin' 15 amp for the horn, and 10 amp for everything else Cal. Luckily we have some experts here who will correct me if I'm wrong (hopefully!). Just saying what I would probably use........

Hey Mark, I hope you're right. I bought some 10 amps when I picked up the block, just guessing on my part.

You can run all of the lights with one 10 amp fuse. a 10 amp element will burn instantly if there is a short somewhere. If you have a high power spotlight or something, it should be on a seperate fuse. A cigarette lighter probably needs 15 to 20 amps. Remember to fuse the positive feeder to the ignition switch - something often overlooked. This would power the starter relay, choke solenoid, battery ignition, etc. Consider crimping AND soldering all of the terminals - as the solder will prevent corrosive action at the termination points.
