I was doing my periodic eBay vintage boat part surfing this morning and I came across the complete Attwood hardware kit that matches what was installed on my Glastron. This includes bow handle, fore deck cleats, chocks and the elusive stern handles. If this isn't, NOS, it looks pretty darn close. Did the "buy it now" and it should be here the first of next week. This may eliminate the need for doing any re-chroming.

Oh yeah........

Sounds like a nice find to me. I hope they are better than the pics made them look.

Got the parts yesterday. Any use these have gotten has been minimal. No need to rechrome. Now that I have them I am rethinking the project a bit. If possible, I am going to try to do all of the hardware with Attwood stuff. I have the deck hardware and stern light, so what I will need is the bow light and steering wheel. The existing bow light is a Sparton and the wheel is part of an old Rideguide system.

Interestingly, there was no stern cleat installed on the boat. Maybe they used the transom handles to tie off with. I have a pair of very unique cleats that came on my Tomahawk that I may install. Or change my mind again before I get to that phase.

Robert, as far as the picture goes, if I can see the reflection of the photographer in the part, I assume it is in good condition.

Well I didn't see any pics but I'm happy they are great. One good thing about boats. The hardware was not necessarily all the same on a brand of boat and we can put on what we like the best. First thing man did when the first car was built and bought was looking to change it and make it his. I suppose it was the same with boats.
