Plaster failed miserably twice, first attempt with 2 part RTV silicone gassed out and had too many bubbles, but third attempt I found a way around the gassing out without the use of a vacuum chamber and pulled 1 good mold before the materials were used up

so how many step pads are you guys needing so I can determine how much black 2 part rubber to order

Neil Im not in business selling these & I dont think there are enough Crosby's around  couple of the Crosby owners need new or missing pads

mold material & 4lb kit 2 part BLACKurethane rubber
puts the cost at $130 to be divided by the number of Crosby owners needing a set...so its going to be minimum $60 for 4 step pads to you 2 so far.....plus $10 for each color change

Can we do 4 white pads? I would consider more if a few more people contributed to get the cost down.

Thanks for your time on this Michael.

Can we do 4 white pads?

yes I believe Shipster wanted white aswell

the cost is the rubber $64 a quart kit, a pint kit wont do enough Im afraid, 1 pint will do 4 maybe 5 pads approx by my guestimation
if we could get away with a pint kit...its still $35 each set of 4 plus shipping

so its not that others share the cost, there is only enough material for a maybe 1 set of 4 in a pint kit...its just expensive materials, imagine if you paid to have these made
I see used rubber steps go for almost that on ebay , I dont think $13-15ea piece is too much, especially if I needed them

Got it. I'll take 4 white ones. Let me know what the total is.

I will order the rubber & white dye, if there are no others wanting step pads to defer the costs for you, I will make you some spares...OK

cost keeps rising guys, shipping at checkout was $34, then there is more cost.....shipping to you, with the cost balking already I dont need to be further invested in your project, so I backed out at the checkout.

one of you can reimburse me $39.56 for the materials to make the mold I will mail the mold to you, you take your chances & make your own with a smaller amount and pass the mold along to the next guy, it may work out cheaper for you, maybe
one of's will always be expensive, even when you do it yourself

email me for shipping arrangements

Michael, you know the old saying the road to //// is paved with good intentions. Nice try and it was a serious effort. You would not believe the idea I have for my Herters step pads. Won't let the cat out until it's a success.

Hi Michael, I'm good for 4 white pads even if the price creeps up a bit. I'm also good to wait awhile to see if other people may want some. Granted there aren't many Crosby owners but if I'm not mistaken these are for Jervis? frames. There may be more people interested in these pads than we may think. Your call. Again, thanks.

Probably a good call Michael. There are definitely cheaper alternatives. Wefco does a white extrusion for $1.50 a foot with a 10 foot minimum. They need to be trimmed to fit and won't be as clean as the moulded ones, but it would work.
