Welcome aboard!

Take a look at the glassic library section here on this site.

Also do a search of the forums. I bet there have been other inquiries about Reinell that may prove useful.

Welcome Milton, and congrats on the Jetabout! Here's a link straight into the Reinell section of the library Andreas referred to, or you can click the tab in the top toolbar as well;
www.fiberglassics.com/library/Reinell
Just under the Glassic Library tab above is the "Search Forum" box. You can type anything in there and the site will search for any subject for you.
We have a couple members (I believe) who own them, I'm sure someone will chime in here soon. Feel free to give us a shout if you need help with anything.

Hey mlg, you came to the right place. you have many great people to reach out to depending on what you need.
I have a Jetabout that I am restoring now, a 1957 with the same great motor as yours. I have 2 friends with Jetabouts also, one restored, the other not. We are "The Jets", an offshoot of the Friday Night Yacht Club (Seattle).
we will all be restoring together. I am just now taking all the trim off, total pain...many tiny nuts to be lost. I have restored the floor, reconstituted the stringers (west system) and have that tight and sealed. Next is the gel-coat.
these are great boats built in the Northwest. there are 3 years they built them (2-3) and the later ones had built in molded back seats. Mine is the first model and had independent seats (since gone to dust).
post some interior pics and we can tell you what year you have.
BTW, on the water this is as close to a go-cart as you can get; really light and nimble, turns on a dime and if you don't watch it can get you into trouble. The guy I bought mine from had a Mark 78 on the back, quite frankly I don't have a death wish and wouldn't have wanted to be in the boat at full speed. My bud has a Mark 30 in his and it screams with one guy.
good luck, let us know how we can help.

Want to thank yall for helping me out with info. Gonna try to get this back into condition. Need to find out what front and back seats looked like, also need pic. of original steering wheel or to find one that I could restore. The bow light is also gone, lady said it used to be in the boat, but long gone. Would like to see more pics. Here's some pics. of interior and boat. What is it like to obtain a title? Boat trailer had 93 Washington plates, and it has been in tx. in a barn for the past 9 years.
Thanks, Milton

Great looking Jetabout. Here are some pictures of the floor stringer area with the plywood removed at the rear section (someone added cedar planks forward). These were from one of the four Jetabouts I had at one time. Your bow hardware is the same as all the others I have seen. I think that the front seats were actually a small pedistal mounted unit, at least the same hardware was in several different ones.

This is the interior work from a friend that is restoring a Jetabout in Gig Harbor. Going to be a fantastic boat!

This is the front seat pedistals that have been in two of the Jetabouts I owned. Never found a factory photo to verify.

Removed carpet and 1 layer of 1/2 plywood to find this underneath.Took next layer of 1/2 plywood out to reveal stringers and they look great. Taking off trim and striping down rest of the boat. Progress to follow. Think the boat was red or terra cotta, not sure yet.

Hey MarkS, thanks for the support. First time to redo a boat, used to tournament fish for bass, so I've beeen into boats. Started last night removing trim, need to get the Merc400 off the boat, then think about seperating the top from the bottom(probably not correct terms), then think about some fiberglassing on floor and self-baling motor well.
Later, Milton
