TOPIC: Speaking of spam...

Hi all. Just got an email on my gmail account addressed to shipster from some guy named Dave at glassicsonline dot something. It wasn't FIBERglassics dot something. He was talking about automatic membership approval and whatnot. Was this a legit email? If not more of us may be getting the same email. I'll keep you posted. Thanks.

you need to watch your mail, this site gets mined for email address all the time, I use different emails addresses for different sites for this very reason & I get a lot of spam directly related to this site only

Dave (CC1000 here) is the webmaster/administrator at www.glassicsonline.com , which has been bombarded by spammers here lately. The email from him is legit, explaining that registration for that site would now be handled manually, no longer an automatic sign-up. He's doing his best to curtail some of the covert activity of the bottom-feeding scum suckers that try to mess up good peoples lives by spreading the ...............oops, sorry, guess you get the idea.

Sorry for the false alarm. Mark, you need to learn how to finish a sentence. Dave, great website that I hit daily and many thanks for looking out for us with this issue. Is there a mechanism or bulletin board so to speak to broadcast what you're in the midst of on a regular basis? Maybe even just a post in the NBR forum. Whatever. Again, many thanks to you and all the others making this a cool place.
