TOPIC: Thank You, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I know it's in the Main Forum but it's boat related as I will be off the grid until January 2nd because the I'll be on a boat steaming around the Eastern Caribbean. After the circumstances of last Christmas the wife, daughter and in-laws decided we just couldn't do Christmas here in Maryland and definitely couldn't do it back in Florida so we decided we would go somewhere away from it all and keep our minds on other things. Sorry this isn't suppose to be about me. This is about all the friends and family here on FiberGlassics!!!!

I want to thank you all for helping me keep my sanity for the last year. You are truly a great bunch of folks who are always willing to help each other and folks you don't even know, out with their new found boat restoration addiction. I'm truly thankful for this forum, the great folks who patronize it and the excellent work of the staff who keep it going! So may all of you, my friends and family here have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Be sure to grab one of the Mates and ask them to hook you up with the Engineers to give you a tour of the engine room. I spend decades working on big ships, and there is nothing more impressive than a modern shipboard engine room.

My sentiments exactly, Bob. You said it all and very well. The site has been my crutch throughout this year as I drudge through finishing my degree. You all have been my link to sanity. I don't know what that says exactly, but I think its good.

The staff here provides a great outlet for us all to share and laugh with each other. Here's to another terrific year!!!

Bob, I just recently heard or learned of your loss of last year and I want to send you and your family our very best regards and thoughts and prayers to help you through these holiday times. In my mind at least it is very hard to prepare for or think about the loss of someone who is both close to you and younger than you much less family. Be strong my friend.

Thanks for all the well wishes, trip went well. As well as can be expected anyway. Didn't get any good pics of classic boats believe it or not. I was kind of bummed, thought I might find something but no luck. Was nice and warm, kind of sucks coming back to 18 degrees at night!

Hopefully this is a much better year for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
