My guess is that a lot of us have a bunch of miscellaneous parts laying around that we wouldn't mind parting with. I know I do. I thought it might be an idea to create some sort of on-line yard sale where we could buy and sell small stuff. Perhaps a new category with various permanent "tables" for different items such as lights, deck hardware, steering, trailer parts, motor parts, etc. Then each person could then list an item on a table with a 2-line description and a link to a photo. It would give a great venue for getting $ for the unwanted stuff and also give us a place to search if we need something for a project. There should be a fairly low dollar limit on items listed and not open to commercial enterprises.

I might be able to be done with the same software as Glassifieds.

I understand it is probably a lot of work, but I thought I would throw it out as an idea. Maybe we could come up with a way of paying for the set-up.

"Parts/Miscellaneous" in Glasifieds is an unused section (at least right now)

Waddaya think?

Aren't we able to use the Parts/Misc. section? If so, that is the first place I'd look...

Great to be on board.

I think you both have the right idea: We all have "junk" and we can list it for sale in "Parts/Miscellaneous."

The trouble with that idea is that nobody is listing anything! A quick trip to that section yielded "No ad." So c'mon, gentlemen...lets sell all those unwanted boating items and parts! The holidays are coming! Don't be selfish. Wouldn't it be nice to have a little extra money to buy the wife a new bilge pump for Christmas? Let's get with the program!

I'll start it off. Check "P/M." Take my stuff...please!

OK. I posted something there as well. How do we promote this to get more people thinking about it?

Some neat stuff showing up in there now Todd, great idea! (I always hit the "all ads" button when viewing the Glassifieds, didn't really realize that section wasn't getting used much.) I've started cleaning up my garage, hope to have some things to put on there soon too. :P

It may help: I increased the ad run from 30 to 60 days. That way you don't have to re-post as often.

I have a part I'll post there later. A Johnson manual pull starter.
