Hi John. Sorry for the slow reply. We just lost my wife's 96 year old Grandfather and have been away. The wheel looks great already! Its going to look mighty fine on the boat. The boat is put away for the winter, so there is no rush on the wheel (but I can hardly wait to see it). I'll be able to follow the thread now we are back home. Thanks again, Brian

brian i painted the wheel off white like you wanted, its called wimbledon white, its a ford color, then sprayed alot of clear on it,ill let it dry for awhile ,maybe a few days before shipping it.
rick i used self etching primer, then acrylic laquer paint and clear coat, its also best to stay with the same brand of primer, topcoat and clear.
i usually use enamel, but tried this instead since i was looking for a color close to original, john

Looks beautiful John. Great minds must think alike cuz the boat is going wimbeldon white! Thank you for everything. if you need anything, anything at all just ask. I'll post pics when it's all done (next year). It's going on a 1958 Speed Queen 14' Centerdeck with A 58' Johnson Super Sea Horse sitting on a Holsclaw trailer. Thanks again, Brian
