ok neil,i got the hot foot blasted,it looks alot better,while im at it ,do you want it taken apart and painted,on the foot pedal i can paint it then sand off the lettering and anywhere it will rub off anyhow,just let me know, john

Looks great, John. I bought a blaster a few years back and loaded it with really fine glass bead. It takes the corrosion off like a dream and leaves a super smooth finish. I may switch the media out to walnut shells in the future, as its less abrasive and can be used on more things.

ok,i got the hot foot apart,with alot of trying,lol,the parts had some corrosion,but will be good and clean when put back together.i got the pieces primed and painted,next i will sand off the paint on the letering,then clearcoat.
the primer is self etching,the blue isnt as light as it looks,its a little darker,i hope it works for you neil,if not i will reblast it and do it over,its just that this was the only blue i have at the moment,john

thanks bob,it has a silver mettalic base coat ,then the blue top coat,tomorrow is clear coat,i will sand all the moving parts and the spots where the foot will wear it off anyhow,like the lettering,john
