The fins look like my 59 Herters, everything else is foreign to me but I'm sure someone here will help.

Appears to be a "Whitehouse" to me. A buddy of mine has one with the original windshield still on it.

Strange - Whitehouse was the first thought I had when I saw it, but the only ones I've ever seen were pictures on this board. I've never seen or heard of one around here, which is central Missouri.

I think it's for sale, it's in the yard of a guy I know, sitting next to the road. There is no for sale sign, but he's always salvaging something. I used to babysit him when he was 3 or 4 years old, but that was - maybe 50 years ago! I haven't seen him in a couple years.

Would that thing be of any interest to be a candidate for restoration, or just landfill fodder?

It's a Whitehouse. Very easy to work on. It looks bad but worth saving and the curved transom is easy too. I used 1/4 marine ply in layers to do mine.

Well, I broke down and bought it last night. It's a way down the list to get worked on for now, but it'll keep me from getting bored anytime soon.

I'm not sure where you are, but I've got a windshield off one of those you can have if you want. Not perfect but no cracks and better than nothing.

I'm in Central Missouri now, but we go to south Texas often, including next week. Anywhere between central Mo and the Texas coast would work. It would be appreciated.

As long as you take a left at Albuquerque (like Bugs Bunny) and pass through Southwest Michigan on your way to south Texas from Missouri, drop by anytime, LOL. Might be able to use the network to get it there. Yours if you want it.
