TOPIC: 1958 HERTERS DELUX FLYING FISH

Just listed on EBay. Starting bid $3,500...

I owned the 58 "Dou Foil" ( the true "Flying Fish" That is the one that needs to be sought after. I owned it from 58 until 1975. Still kicking myself for selling it.

What a difference a year makes, I paid $350 for my 1959.

I checked out the EBay sale, motor not included, more than the glove box cover missing also. Pretty high asking price since the much sought after Herters at the Mecum auction didn't make reserve and only made it to $14,ooo.

Did Herters make a boat in 1952?? Looking at the registration card I have for mine it says 1952 Herters and 1952 55hp Mercury.

I asked the PO about this and he said he never paid much attention to it, In WI a title is not needed for anything under 16' we just send in a small plastic registration card that the po signs off, pay the fee and your home.
