TOPIC: Santa came early!!

I feel like a slacker- I didn't get any work done on my projects so far today!

But, I do have a good excuse...

I bought a Volksboat, a 1959 Tee Nee, and 1959(?) Gator trailer a while back, and they've been waiting for me in a warehouse up in Chicago until the shipper was headed this way. He called me this week to tell me that he would be heading through!

I agreed to meet him by I-24, to save him from having to drive all the way up the mountain with my 'stuff'... So I had to make 2 trips to get my goodies, but it all worked just fine. My next project is here-

Here she is- Sitting on the Tee-Nee... The Tee-Nee will be under the Lake N sea, it's obviously a bit big for the Volksboat-









This is the first time I've actually seen the boat- And it seems to be in fairly good shape... Initial 'explorations' make it appear that there is no wood in it other than the transom- Which means NO ROT! I think It needs a new transom, but that's pretty minor.





This should be a fun project. I'm still gathering all the parts, and need to find a suitable motor... But it should be relatively easy and quick.

Now I've just got to get the other ones done

It's great that you finally got the Volksboat
and trailers home, Andrew! I remember when you bought it while "boat-sitting" in Chicago, seems like the snow was about rear-end deep around that time. Didn't realize (or remember, more accurately) how small those are. I know another member here has a red one restored, but wow those are tiny! You've got some great projects lined up now, should keep you busy for a weekend or two.

That trailer combo looks just fine. LOL

Looks like you have gotten alot of projects going there. I wish I had the time to do more than one at a time.It's a great looking project, good luck with it and have fun doing it. Skip.

(SANTA) had FOUR N.O.S. Baby Moon hub caps still in clear plastic bags. $ 1 TOTAL.! Talking on Cell phone , even bragged ,"I finally sold those old Baby moons off my table, Some guy ACTUALLY took."
