Hi all, I'm new to the forum and could use some assistance.

Long story short: Grandfather bought this boat back in the day (new so I'm old by grandma) and when he passed in 05' he left it to me. So, I'm in the process of restoring it back to it's original day however, I'm having the hardest time locating manuals, parts, etc. Can someone help me in the right direction to restore this beauty! I'm still trying to find the original model name but, I know it's a Newman and it was manufactured in Oklahoma in the 1960's. That's about it. I've begun the restoration on the original seats as well as the vinyl tops and covers. Thanks in advance!!

Cool old boat- and it's great to have that family connection, too... She looks like she's in pretty decent original condition- We love photos here!

Hopefully someone knows something about the make.

Nice boat and great history.

Most boat makers did not have owner's or operation manuals. The outboard motor would have them however. You can find 'em on eBay and also at Ken Cook Co. in Milwaukee. Lots of reprints of outboard manuaals are floating around.

Hardware such as chocks, cleats, navigation lights, step pads, etc... used by boat builders came from firms such Perko, Kainer, Jervis, Wilcox-Crittenden, etc... There are some brochures at the Glassic Library here.

Thanks guys for the reply and the direction. I have been looking forward to restoring this boat and I cannot wait to get it back on the water where it belongs.

Thanks for the sources! I'm learning how to make an album on here to keep up with progress.
