That's a nice one Neal, looks to be original too. It would be hard to do one as nice as JAG's though, he set the bar pretty high on his! :) (Sure would be fun to try with something that classy, though!)

That is a STEAL at $ 6 K on a $ 25,000 boat.. Will be gone quick.
That area is a hot bed , with his sons still in region , I believe.

If one of our members here strikes a deal on this boat, I can pick it up and store it here at my shop until they can pick it up. I would be honored to do that for you.
It would be stored inside. All you have to do is ask.
It is only 275 miles from me.

Evening Neil,

You are a good man. Anyone willing to drive 550 miles for another site member is a very good one that deserves a plug letting everyone know the facts. The door at my place is open to you, if you ever find yourself in PA.

Thank you Todd.
I would hate for someone to miss out on a boat that they have been wanting just because of a little hiccup with miles and storage.
I have never been to PA. I am glad I have a welcome door to knock on when I get there. And my door and shop is always open to any and all FG members, although you may have to help me move a Merc or two!

Of all the glassics, few can rumble thru the waters with an inboard Ford v-8, the way this boat would. Got to be one of my all time favorites!
Even with the storage offer, I'd need a string of glassheads from coast to coast to get it to me, or find an extra $1200 or $1500 to have it shipped.

In the past, I've seen basket case Barracudas bring more money. Recession special, big time. Thank goodness I don't have $6K on hand, otherwise I'd be in agony over spending hard-to-find money, or I'd be on the road to go look at it. About a 12 hour drive for me

I had bought a couple of Mercs from a gentleman in Central Washington State and he said to keep an eye out for a boat like this for him. I e-mailed him this CL listing and he went and took a look.
Here is his exact reply back to me.

[Neil
Went to look at the 56 Barracuda. The guy was very unwilling to show it,did not want to even untarp it. I guess you want it or you don't. Anyway what I could see looked good but then I noticed a crask that was running around just under the rub rail (this was not it's normal part line). There were a couple of places where it is split in two. Not good, can be fixed of course but a big project.
Anyway, a rare boat but since it is the first one that I have seen up close, I don't know if the others out there had this problem.

I thought I would share this for what it is worth.
