TOPIC: 'Cutter industries boat identification

'Cutter industries boat identification 12 years 11 months ago #47028

Hello everyone, been searching the forums for a couple weeks now, trying to find out what my boat is ... it has an ID tag on the back near the transom, but, cannot dig up any information ... Of all the forums I have been looking through, this seems the most informative for the old fiberglass classics(which I think mine is...)

anyways ... The ID tag is listed as follows, and its a 14" fiberglass, apparently made by 'cutter' ..

DOT113028 45 'CUTTER INDUST LTD
27198 1010 MARK 14

that is basically all the information I have on the boat...

Can anyone help ID what model//year this boat is from? Would be greatly appreciated in sourcing OEM parts if possible for a restoration ..

Thanks in advance :)

It'll be easier for the experts here if you post a series of pictures.

Here are some shots ... the person who I purchased the boat off of, they cut the front out to make room for a bass seat, but I'll be putting that front back together...

bulltron, its a bit hard for me to tell what kind of cutter it is without the deck and we have a 1959 jet de ville and a 1959 cutter avon hardtop, hopefully doug"classic fins" or others will let you know exactly what kind of cutter it is,ill look in the library and see if they made a mark 14.john

I tried to find it in the library, the list of all the boats on there, there isn't a mark 14 listed, and the ones I looked up for images off that list that are 14 feet, they have larger fins at the back, the 'ensign' in 62 looks about the closest, but, its not a dead ringer by any means ... I appreciate your help ... figured before going out and buying a new interior(again, already picked up a new full interior...) would dig knowing the year/model for OEM(//ish) install ...

There was a Cutter boat firm in Canada. As far as I can ascertain, it was NOT affiliated with Cutter at Tell City, Indiana.

Is it possible your boat is from the Canadian Cutter?
