Grabed this little 14 foot Seamaid off CL last night to use my short shaft 25 Johnson, 25 Seaking, and 35A on untill I finish a wooden boat for them. Very cute and very solid papers say it is a 1962 Seamaid with a horse power rating of 40 HP. Looking in the library it seems it must be a Sprite. Doesnt quite fit my Trailer...

Nice find, Jesse! Can you move the winch stand back and the bunk mtg brackets forward?

Well I got more done on this little guy over the weekend, new steering cables. Motor mounted and my Father made a new seat mounting board and rear floor hatch, as well as a new controll box mount so I put on the 1957 25 horse seaking for him to have some fun with. not sure what prop will be best for it but will start off with a brass 2 blade nor sure of its pitch but the boat is only 13 feet 5 inches long so I dont think it will have any issues with it.

I have the same prop for my trailer tongue. I'd say it fits the boat better too.

Well I finnaly got this boat in the water... and moving. The old 58 Seaking 25 just didnt want to run right have to look into that motor. So we put the 1955 Johnson 25 on it and it works great, Its first run out of a barrel in probably 35 years, new impeller and coils and away we went, smelly, loud, and not real fast but a nice fun set up! Its not a prety engine lots of Patina :-) Took it out twice over the weekend, once on a lake and then on the hudson River In Albany NY. See if I can get a pic to load.

This is a setup I acumulated and gave to my Father as its the same model and year engine he had as a kid, I jsut couldnt find him a little Penyan cartop for it :-).

Here is a picture of the 1962 SeaMaid with 1955 Johnson 25 Sea Horse on the Hudson River near Albany, NY. Dad named it "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong." After a favorite song by the Spin Doctors.
