TOPIC: Crazy SeaCamper Boat on CL in Wisconsin

Crazy SeaCamper Boat on CL in Wisconsin 13 years 2 days ago #46356

This just posted in on CL in W. Wisconsin. Thought it might be of interest after reviewing the comments from the Evinrude 4-piece houseboat thread a few weeks ago.

This would be pretty cool if restored!

THIS IS A 1970 SEACAMPER WITH TRAILER. FROM WHAT I AM TOLD THIS BOAT HAS A 351 CLEAVLAND BIG BLOCK THAT DOES RUN. THE INTERIOR OF THIS BOAT HAS BEEN ALL DISSASEMBLED BUT IS ALL THERE. I BOUGHT THIS BOAT A FEW YEARS AGO WITH THE INTENTION OF RESTORING IT BUT JUST DO NOT HAVE THE TIME. THIS BOAT PULLS EASILY FOR ITS SIZE (24 FEET). I PULLED IT FROM THE EAST COAST IN NEW YORK WITH A LITTLE HALF TON VAN WITH A SLANT SIX MOTOR IN IT. THIS BOAT IS 1 OF 100 MADE AND SOLD FOR $50,000 IN 1970.
YOU CAN GET THE HISTORY OF THIS BOAT IF YOU GOOGLE SEACAMPER.

Hey Badger,

I must admit that is pretty cool. If you had a place on a lake where you could leave her docked most of the time that would be ideal. Put her in come spring and pull her out in late fall to put her in the garage. Just think of sitting in your floating office in the middle of the lake doig business while everyone else you know is in some building having to deal with the commute. Great place to be in and watchthe leaves change in the fall, too. Price is pretty cool, too.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“

Looks like what Kirk or Spock would beam down to the water planet.

Perhaps I "need" one of those.

Maybe someone should buy it and name it The Gene Roddenberry. Or I just wonder if he had one? Galileo???? It does look like a pontoon boat.
