Hey guy's , i just got my OCT/NOV issue of .PROFFESIONAL. BOATBUILDER , which is a trade magzine for those working in design, construction, and repair , and needles to say there was a small , and very interesting article about Bill Tritt , and Glasspar boats making roadsters constructed entirely of Plastic and Fiberglass .The one piece molded body was about two-tenths of an inch thick and weighed one hundred and eighty-five pounds. The cost of one of these bodies were about Six hundred and fifty dollars , and also had detachable body with a removable hardtop.

Split, you are very welcome , and from what i understand after reading the article , or letter to the Mag they offered two models a Porsche Speedster that had the highly desirable Glasspar removable hardtop , and a Porsch Coupe . Split , in the Mag they somewhat have a mini article courtesy of Cars Magzine along with a rendering of the Glasspar coupe , and overall......a very ..interesting read.

OG.: Here is the REAR view if you ever see one sittin out along
the side of a country Barn... Yes, Bill T designs are catching on
each year with the G-3 speedster & 60's SeaFair series, ( Sedan , Phaeton, & Sunliner).

I believe all the car stuff was around 52 & some what the 53 release of the Corvette... Before that the initial business plan was
fiber-GLASS ..SPAR parts for the sailboat community , thus the name.

Split i ran across this article in a different issue of .PROFFESSIONAL BOATBUILDER.( August/Sept , issue number #132 ) about Bill Tritt ,and thought you might be interested in this site which is www.forgottenfiberglass.com Split, after re reading this other aticle about Glasspar boats being one of the biggest Boat Co's of the 50'S and making the switch from Male to Female Molds during that time was very interesting . ;)

Re:Bill tritt:: pioneer in Early glass 13 years 1 week ago #45335

the g-2 had its own chassis designed to take ford(preferably)suspension parts from 39 to 48 and the motor of the builder's choice. the ford flathead was the most popular. for more info,go to www.classicglasspar.com and click on glasspar history.

how about a G-2 and a G-3?
