Afternoon All,

Today was a great day! I came into possession of a 17' Hydrodyne set up for an outboard. I have been looking at everything I can find online about them and don't see one like mine.

As I said, she's 17'. The steering wheel is on the starboard side, where most of the one's I see have it on the port. There is the very cool front bench with the coil springs and one of the bench seats that ran against the sides.

She needs a lot of love and will get a complete restoration. I really like the '58 Chevy Impala fins in the rear and the overall look of her. A trailer with dual coils on each side came with her and will also get a full restoration.

The price was right, too. Free! As soon as I figure out how to add pics, I'll throw some on here.

If anyone knows anything about the boat or trailer, please feel free to share your knowledge. I know I haven'tprovided much to go on but hopefully someone will be familiar with this type. Anything and everything will be deeply appreciated.

I picked up Hydrodyne restoration project 2 weeks ago. It is a 1968 18 tournament skier. I have found a lot of information on this site and hydrodymers.com. Its a rare find , hope to see pictures. Welcome aboard

Ok, let's try this again!

Ok, that failed. I'm off to reduce the size of the pics.

Now even my pics need to go on a diet!

Well this seemed to work. Let me try Photobucket to reduce the pics more.

Hi John,

I appreciate the help. I'll try to get a pic and post it (such a joy!) for you to see.

I can't find any identification on the trailer, yet but maybe when I remove the baot and dig into it something will be found under the surface rust covering it.

Thankfully I was able to get some pics posted below. If you know anything that will help me, please fee free to chime in.

Take care.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the tip. I have never used Photobucket before but it worked like a champ. The pics are posted below.

Please feel free to add you comments, as I can use all the help with this one that I can get.

She's rough but will spend the winter getting a very thorough reno.
