TOPIC: Nautaline houseboats

I am writing an article about a re-do of a 1973, 43' Nautaline and have gotten curious about Nautaline's history and its ties to Glastron. Can anyone supply some verifiable information about all that? Thank you.

Not sure if my Glastron history article is posted here in the Libary section or not. I know I found information about the houseboats made by Glastron's Nautaline division during my research.

The article was published in "Classic Boating"" magazine in the July/August 2006 issue.

Glastron purchased Nautaline which I think was made in Tennessee or Kentucky. Just like Glastron bought Sno-Jet snowmobile company. Diversification baby (which usually was disasterous for boat firms!)

Glastron has moved several times and been thru multiple owners since the time they owned Nautaline, so stuff gets tossed out each time. I highly doubt they have any "archives" earlier than the move from Texas to Little Falls, MN in the 1980s. I think they are now located in Michigan.

I looked at the classic Glastron website quickly. very little mention of the house boats.
