Well I'm new at this but I'm restoring a 1965 Pipestone Scout. When I found this gem It was used as a paint ball target(not good Paint job either) so I took it and in process of cleaning, very hard to remove paint ball paint, but I succeeded. Lots of work.
Iam looking for more Pipestone Boat pics, and maybe old docs. I'm doing research on these boats and any help would be appreciated. I have an extensive file and looking for more help. I'm also restoring a 1958 Pipestone w/ 35 hp Evinrude, and a 1959 Pipestone Warrior.

Welcome Kjonn, glad to have you aboard. Have you checked out the FG library? I'll give you the link straight to the Pipestone section;

Post some pics of yours when you get a chance, we'd love to see 'em!

Welcome aboard!

The 1960 and 1965 Pipestone brochures in the Glassic Library here came from my collection. I also have a thick file on Pipestone - dozens of newspaper articles, etc.... I plan on writing an article on the firm history.

The very first Pipestone hulls were molded at Slayton, MN some 26 miles east of Pipestone by John Olson in 1954-55. This firm at Slayton ultimately became Slayton Boats.

An article on Slayton Boats was published in the Boathouse magazine ( www.acbs-bslol.com ). I posted it on this website to be added to the Library but it's still sitting in the pipeline.

Let's share our stuff on Pipestone.
