SO, he's going to pay me $3000 to move it? Gezzzz fire wood and cabinets with it. What 2-4 million to get that thing back to some sail-able shape?

Seems to me it would be cheaper to build a replica of that boat than to actually rebuild "that boat". Wow, that thing sat on the bottom too long. Im sure someone out there might consider restoring it. Im just not sure there is nothing more than patterns sitting there.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Hummmm,. I am in the planning stages for constructing a storage shed and shop. 32' wide x 75' long. Can I squeeze this little sailboat in?

I've owned worse. Especially when you have to haul it off with a shovel and a wheelbarrow...

Ever hear of the Charles W. Morgan? Mystic Seaport in CT. I was there two years ago and toured the ship, an old whaler. That was in better shape than this barn find. You might be able to salvage parts and recoup your layout on ebay and then donate the hull to some charity for a tax writeoff. Think positive.

Sabre, I live about 4 miles from the Seaport. The Charles Morgan restoration (to sailing condition!) is going to be about 4-5 million. There are some people who would take that project on, but they are probably a little hard to find in this economy. I met a guy that restored a NY30 that was in similar condition several years ago. (But that was a NY30, which has a great heritage)

Good luck to them.

BTW, Quentin Snediker, who is in charge of the Charles Morgan restoration, had 2 Custom Crafts (including John G's Devil Ray) and a 60s Glastron(?) before that.
