TOPIC: Kansas Members..?? . Windshield Help ..?

..Gang: Do we have any members in the state of Kansas..?? I heard
from a new Glasspar restorer that the state will not register a
speedboat if it is missing a windshield.!

. Seems pretty strict after working all summer on 1st glassic.. Any one willing to part with something that would fit a 14 ft Catalina 72 Glasspar G-3. ?

Here's a plan C and D for you in case nothing pans out.

Plad C. If you just need to get it registered pick up a cheap single position poly from Overtons or someplace like that. I've seen snomobile windshields used already.

Plan D. If you can find a cheap or good windshield out of state or wherever the shipping will be rediculous. I sold a plexiglass windshield to a gentleman in Phila. Wrapped it in cardboard and that stretchy stuff, braced the two corners together and put it on a Grayhound bus. $50 from Green Bay to Phila. Got lost in Chicago for a few weeks but eventually got to where it was going.
There's always a way. Don't give up.

Home page, Glassic map icon, shows all registered users and there home state. Click on one of the balloons and the user names will show up,I don't think I am in Kansas anymore,seem like I heard that sometime before.

I live in Kansas and have never been asked about a windshield when registering a boat. I just did a search for registration forms and regulations and could not find any mention of a windshield being a requirement. Hope that helps
