TOPIC: A big welcome to everyone.

First off, a big welcome to everyone and thanks for visiting.

We figured you'd come here to at least look around so here's the welcome message.

We'll get together a big rundown of the site and every feature in a day or so. It's pretty vast.

In the meantime, take your time to just look around and play with it. She's got just about every feature you could want and then some.

We'd encourage you to at least edit your profiles first. Everything you are runs from there. You'll find that when you put one of your boats in your gallery, not only is it searchable site wide, it also shows up as recent activtity. Like a mini site within a site.

This entire website is tied together. Every feature, every single thing is all one entitiy. Both past, present & new ideas were encorporated into her.

Why don't you pop by the CHAT & say hi. I'm sure there's people hanging out there. Remember, you MUST BE LOGGED IN to chat or see the chat option in the menu.

While here, you can build up your profile, submit articles live on the site, make social connections, add to the calendar, discuss articles in the forum by clicking the link below them, map yourself, put up glassifieds, etc. Every action on the site dynamically updates the front & news pages which will keep the content flowing and you'll never see the same boring page twice.

More on all of the features later.

Take your time, look around, take it all in.

Or, if you want to just be totally amazed... just search for something. Pretty sure it's on every page.

Very Nice Kelly and well worth the wait. I hope our museum site measures up to this when its done. IT was nice talking to you today too and I will get to work on the updates for Glass Craft, Span America and Span Boats Inc. I have others here that will be of interest to people too.

the main forum from the past months....if we had a thread in there do we have to remake/re-post it, I got a couple of projects on the burners (as in 2) for a couple of people that I need the group's participation in.

I guess I can make it a better post than what it was before with this format.

....big thanks to everyone behind the wall, and I can't wait to become a "commercial" what ever it was I think I read about.

And that, my friend, is what is going to make this place special. Ease of addition of information, and not relying on one person to do it. There was no way that could be successful long term. Wiki (which I am still learning about) is the key to making this site so powerful.

LOL! While cleaning out a drawer this past weekend, what did I find. 2 new in the box Fiberglassics stickers. First bidder with $1000 takes them. LOL. I really AM giddy!

Yes the power cat is from Dick a little over a year ago and Metal made is from kelly,,it is not going to be at the regatta,,it is not fast even in fast current, it does just fine hanging at the warehouse, see ya Bill

Don't mind me if a new web site doesn't get me too excited. I have enough trouble with computers! Took me a while just to get on, and in the process needed to change my user name. So the old "frank_a" is now "PC1000."

PC1000 is meant to i.d. my '62 Power Cat 14T that is still in the process of restoration/customization, and will (with luck) be powered by a '63 Merc 1000 with early PT&T. The other two boats that were in the stable ('67 G3 and '63 Manta Ray) are leaving soon, maybe spring or summer. I've sticking with one boat and one motor.

What needs to get done on my PC? At least two more coats of primer on the deck, then maybe 2 or 3 coats of top side paint on the deck, some minor repair to the starboard bow hull lip, installation of rub rail, and glassing of the seam. Then I can rig it, and hope the old Merc works.

Still no enclosed heated space, so not much getting done over the winter here in the frozen north. So it goes.

Ever since I first got on FG years ago (as "wannag3"), I had an old computer that I bought an external hard drive for all my photo-heavy files. I got a new computer this past Christmas and almost immediately after that, that old hard drive burned up, and we lost all our photos. Fortunately, Danny Leger keeps up a Power Cat website showing progress on a whole bunch of 'Cats, and this is my page:

Hello to everyone. Cite looks good. Set up a profile and put in some pictures. I have downsized my boat collection a bit.It will be easier to keep my 2 and my fathers 2 running this year.
