TOPIC: 1957 Herters Duo Foil Flying Fish

1957 Herters Duo Foil Flying Fish 13 years 2 months ago #39631

Can anyone tell me if the original windshield on a 1957 Herters Flying Fish was glass or plexiglas? Also has anyone had any luck reproducing one of these windshields? Has anyone replicated the original hardware to attach windshield? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Haynes. I will get in touch with them. Did you have the original attachment hardware for yours? If not what kind of attachment hardware did you use? Appreciate your help.

Hello b8buddy, Eduardo here from Sacramento, Ca. I've seen this boat locally; I took these pictures taken July of '06. Did you get this Herters from the Sacramento region? We have a group of glassic owners in the Sacramento/Delta area that regularly get out and cruise our glassics in around the Sacramento, American, and the Delta Rivers. You and your Herters are welcome if you care to join us. That's one sweet fin boat. Congrats on acquiring her. I see it has the original trailer too. Very cool. Send me a PM if you'd like.

The last picture is of one, '58 Dorsett El Dorado, of three fin boats that I own.
