The 18DC is back in the water in the 1000 Islands. Thanks to chinewalker both motors are running really well. Tonight I ran the boat almost to Alex Bay and I can't tell you how many thumbs up I got. Both motors idyling well, running well at speed and transitioning between. Hopefully the carb problems are behind us. Weather is great. Getting lots done on the island. Tomorrow afternoon we're taking a long ride in the 18DC. Its a great ride.

Glad you're having fun B. When you say you ran to Alex Bay, most people think of that as THE 1000 islands. Where were you running from?

The island is about a mile upriver from the 1000 Island Bridge in Blind Bay. We are closer to Clayton than Alex Bay. Rock Island lighthouse and Thousand Islands Park are in the front 'yard'.

Brian,
We were busy with the garage on Saturday and could hear you buzzing by several times. No question when you're heading out - the twins have a sound all their own!

Hey Scott! Yup put some serious miles under the hull each day this week. I think we got it. Been up and down a hundred times and everything is working great. Love those Rudes. Ran half way to the bay and then up between Round and Little Round and used maybe a quarter tank each. Both start instantly, idle well and throttle up nicely. I think the demons of the stbd motor have exorcised! Again, thanks for all the help.

Hi John. I am nearly certain I have a spare emblem. I won't be home until Aug 7th though, so remind me around the 8th to look. I have spare hoods and bought a a complete hood trim kit for the 59 Golden Jubilees. If I have one its yours.
