my brother and i were lying across one of those foam boogie boards in the pool and it kept both of us afloat.(450lbs.)
if i taped 5 of them together and put under the deck of the boat, do ya think it would keep the mantaray from deep sixin? boat, motor, fuel tank,battery-600 lbs.

Why does this boat need flotation? I need more info on the boat. Most boats under 20 feet already have flotation. But, if the boat has none then it sure won't hurt.

the boat a customcraft mantaray is a 14' tunnel hull catamaran/hydroplane. (builders description)
it has no floor...the hull is the floor. hence nowhere to put foam/flotation. now the sponsons are air chambers so i imagine that would count as some sort of flotation but i doubt it would keep the boat from sinking. the boogie boards wouldn't be permanently affixed. i would want to remove them when at shows as it would look ridiculous, but out on the water is another story. ron
