im pretty excited,i cant wait to work on it with him.
i was going to start one of my boats, but i will have more fun doing andrews boat with him.
my boat can wait till next year.
we are going to go get it from eds house and take my motor off of it,then put it on the rollng boat platform i made.
i installed a truck crane ysterday,so hopefully i can pick the motor off of the boat,we have to get the boat off of the trailer ed bought and onto my lowboy.
i jst had injections in both knees yesterday ,i have to do that once a week for 5 weeks,so it looks like andrew is going to be doing the heavy lifting, lol.
i sure would like to find out what brand and model the boat is.
i will have more pics when we get home.
i think it will work great for a 16 year old to fish out of. if you look through the windsheild and behind the seats you can see the fake wood planking, what is this boat?

I have no doubt it will be a fun project. As for the motor crame what is under the bed backing it up? My boy had one he put in the way they suggested and it bent the bed. I think he was overloading it also. But it is hard not to abuse such a piece of equipment.

wondering how that will work.angle iron or perhaps a good pice of plate too...or both?...as long as it can pick up a I6 w/o issue you should be good to go!

Gotta love C-list. Check out the second photo with the 1 inch stream of water exiting the drain plug hole. I'm sure the transom is solid as a rock....NOT!

J. The boat profile pic with the high sides & big windshield has a
look of STARCRAFT to me. NOt much for 58 in the library.. The caulk lines of the split seats & front deck is quite close to my 58 Crosby,, BUT I do not have any rear spray rails on the lower hull. .. If time comes for the motor vehicles I would list
StarCraft.

John,
That boat definitely looks to b in good shape to start with, should be easier to get it done. I'm sure you guys will do an outstanding job. I know what you mean by the heat, had the same here today and tomorrow isn't going to be any better. :S

well andrew and i were finaly able to get together to work on his boat,he did a great job of cleaning it out and ripping out the old floor,we found the stringers are bad though, but we will rebuild them.
im proud of him he did great, now im going to put ice on my knees, lol, and he did most of the work.
the cart i made came in real handy,we were able to move the boat all over the place then put it in the garage.
i gave him my seats i was going to use in my cutter, and i have matching vinyl too.
i want this boat to be a great boat for him,i just wish i knew what it was.lol.
the floor was covered with tarpaper, and they had a plug in the drain hole but thank goodness there was a hole cut in the floor at the rear and a plug hole was open under the floor. one tire has a slow leak,im going to have to get some slime for in them.thats why theres a milk crate under the boat rack, lol.

im pretty happy, andrew is here and we are making progress on the strigers,he cut the tops of the fiberglass out of the 2 side stringers and we poured a little resin in them to fill the voids,we are doing the outside stringers 1st,so our measurments for the center one will be easier to get,and be more accurate.

Too late for the long sleeve shirt, extra long showers help. I wore my coveralls some of the time but wouldn't you know it was some of the hottest days of the year. The tyvek are just too sweaty. I laughed out loud also. I think we can all associate with the feeling. Keep up the good work.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the pic of him laying in the floor of his boat John, believe it or not. Cal is so right, I'm recovering from some serious "glass rash" myself, tell him to wear the battle scars proudly. LOL (They go away pretty quickly!)

well, andrew didnt get his chores done at home,he had to help his pap do some things, and thats a good thing,he has a great pap and gram, also great parents.so hes not coming out,i will add some more resin to level it up then im going to take it out of the garage and do my wifes carousel horse, then i might start on one of my boats, probably the cutter because its in the best shape.
im a little bummed out i really wanted to get it done with him working on it,but helping pap and mom is what good young man does. he will want to work on it after school ,he starts soon.
i got the last of my injections in both knees yesterday,5 weeks worth, now i hope the stuff starts to kick in or if it doesnt then surgery.crap,i have 5 weeks to get some stuff done before then.
andrew you did your best buddy, its definatly more important to help your pap and your parents, the boat isnt going anywhere it will still be here when you can work on it,uncle john
