My Dad bought this boat brand new in '62. The Mercury 850 85hp motor came on it. Nothing at all is wrong with the boat except hairline cracks in the finish. It's buffing out nicely to get the original shine back(look at small areas around bow lights. Anyway, I can't find any info online about Allstar boats. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Forgot to mention, it has a removable hard top that is also in prestine condition.

Nice looking rig!

Is "Allstar" the manufacturer/brand or the model? Any indication of where she was built?

That's what I'm trying to find out. My Dad says it's an Allstar, but I'm not sure about that. I haven't found any i.d. marks except where an oval sticker has come off the rear part of the boat where it sits in the water.

I found this image on this site that is same shape as the stickers that used to be on it. And it has that star shape in places on the boat.

EDIT: He did say he bought it from Ohio..

This is SWEET / Interesting. Welcome to the ste. We are in Chattanooga, TENN.. Lewisburg is south of nashville, & a big Glasspar plant was there... That library paper lists many models, & a H.T. (hard top).? for the 17 ft.. NOt sure if your pic is a 17'
. Would like to see a pic of the top. Looks to be a Atwood steering wheel.

Again WELCOME.

Thanks for the welcome...
I was mistaken, asked my Dad last night and he said it came from TN, not sure what part though. Don't know where I got Ohio from, haha...

Anyway, here are a couple of pics with the top on it. Also, the steering wheel has a small emblem with an A in the middle of it.

I believe that is an old Attwood steering wheel (maybe?).

It appears that there was a firm making "Allstar Fleet" boats called Allstar Mfg. Co. located at Lewsburg, TN. See the information in the Library here:
www.fiberglassics.com/library/Allstar

The "A" in the steering wheel is for Attwood - the maker of the steering wheel.

Thanks. I've googled Allstar Fleet, Allstar Classic Boats, Allstar Mfg. Co. in TN, etc...absolutely no results on boats except for that link you just provided here on this site. I would like to say I know for a fact the motor is '62 by the serial number, so I'm assuming the boat is also since it came on the boat.

Here are a couple photos of a reputed 1960 Allstar that sold on Ebay a long while ago:

Awesome. First time I've seen a picture of another Allstar. I found the title yesterday for my boat. It's actually a '61 and the motor is a '62. This particular model is called the "Sweet 17". Also, I found out that Allstar boats were only built from 1960-1962. Guess they are pretty rare then...

Thanks everyone for the replies....
