5 GLASS BOATS ran in the 4 mile regatta. 2 were inboards (a donzi and a carlson) not classics imo. the other 3 were outboards ..frank alguires powercat, a gw invader, and a lido. don't have to tell who placed 1st and 2nd.
and they're off.. out of the hole the gw got a sizeable jump with frank 2nd and the lido waaaayback. at the 1/8th pole frank overcame the gw and held on to come in 1st of the classics. frank ran full throttle thru the whole course jumping wakes where the whole powercat looked like it was airborne. his merc ran as good as the "Lida Rose" looked. 2-3'chop hampered the gw while frank ran full bore thru and over it. NO FEAR IN THAT MAN. PICS SOON

Gee Ron, I haven't had time yet to go through my pics. Nice job.

It was great to finally meet a lot of the people I had e-mail relationships for a long time. Some great boats and great people. And John Gibson's work looks as good in person as it does in the photos, if not better.

I thought my boat looked good until I was parked at the dock next to the Linda Rose. JAG has a beautiful boat. As Ron said, probably the best in the show. I felt like I just dragged some POS out from behind a barn and stuck it in the water.

A long drive, but well worth it.

A few years ago i believe i saw that red boat with the red top almoast get hit by another boat at a local marina at the gas dock.some guy was trying to turn a 20 ft boat around in a 21 ft area. the owner of the glassic was pissed. it was at mayers marina in irondiquoit?i wonder if he remembers that.

Great pics guys thanks for sharing. Looks like it was a good turn out. I think it's probably a good thing I didn't make the drive up, next to all those good looking boats mine would have looked woefully inadequit!

Glassics did well. Glad I didn't need to judge them. Bravo Zulu all for an excellent effort.

I saw the 14T really leave the water with the whole bottom of the hull facing me after he hit the rollers the guy with the Century made. Wish I had the video camera. Nice glassics there. It was enjoyable watching them go by along with Bob Walworks Raveaus. That new one of his was really movin.

Great pictures Ron and crew.

I just posted 63 more on Nickle City:

Wine Country Classic Boats Hammondsport Show Album

The photos are pretty large, so you may have to wait for the album to load, especially if you are viewing as full screen slide show.
